Sarah King is a ceramic artist and graduate of Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Her love for the craft of clay products led her to a Ceramics Residency Programme at Guldagergaad in Denmark, where her work was well received.
Her products tend to be more sculptural than functional and are unified by the comparison between order and chaotic forms. She has exhibited work in Cape Town and the United Kingdom and is now looking to build a solid foundation for her business in South Africa.
“Any artist worth their salt has the power to take other individuals on a journey, revealing new perspectives and awakening people's thinking to new ideas that allow them to access new concepts, techniques and designs,” she says.
